As a developer, it is quite often required to purge the caches. Since moodle introduced scss, purging caches now takes definitely longer, as the whole css has to be compiled every time.

Now, sometimes I want to purge only the string or javascript caches. It will be great to have the ability to choose which caches should be purged.

Hi Simeon,

are you aware of which was integrated into 3.6? From 3.6 on, partial cache purging is already possible.

Additionally, from 3.8 on you can also easily re-purge caches as you can see in

Are you missing anything beyond that?
