We know that during the two days of DevCamp amazing things can be accomplished. To make it even easier and more sustainable we are excited to announce that two amazing HQ Moodlers will be joining our DevCamp as mentors to support and help our DevCamp participants in creating amazing and working code in order to improve and enhance Moodle: Amaia Anabitarte & Sara Arjona

If you want to know more about Amaia and Sara, check out the following (fun) facts:

Amaia Anabitarte
This Computer Engineer, born in San Sebastián, ventured to Barcelona in 2018 to work as a Developer Analyst at Moodle HQ. Since her beginnings at HABE (Basque Government), almost 15 years ago, she has been captivated by the world of open-source software and learning technologies.
At Moodle HQ, she has worked on projects such as the Content Bank and H5P. She is always ready to chat with users and share experiences because she knows that understanding their needs is key. And that's the most exciting part of the Moots!

Sara Arjona
Computer engineer from Catalonia, working as a developer and integrator at Moodle HQ since 2017, with projects like Badges and H5P. Open-source passionated which fuels a collaborative spirit that serves as a driving force throughout life's journey.

The connection with Moodle began much earlier. For 14 years, worked on projects for the Ministry of Education of Catalonia, such as Àgora or XTECBlocs, which relied on open-source software like Moodle or WordPress. Additionally, contributed to the development of several Moodle plugins, including JClic, Quaderns Virtuals, GeoGebra, and Configurable Reports.

During free time, hiking, running, orienteering, reading, or crocheting can be enjoyable activities.

Fun facts
  • We are bilingual, but neither German nor English are our native languages.
  • Amaia has always wanted to be a unicorn, so she is formally learning UX.
  • We both confuse tunnels and bridges, so we've adopted the term 'brunnel' to ensure accuracy.
  • Sara loves orienteering, yet despite years of experience, she still finds herself getting lost.
  • Beer's not really our thing. We prefer cider.
We are looking forward to welcome Amaia and Sara at the MoodleMoot DACH 2024 in Vienna.

Ps: english version only wink
