Today it is my pleasure to introduce Dani who will be joining us as mentor during the MoodleMoot DACH DevCamp in order to assist and support our dev teams the help them to "produce working code".

Dani Palou

Computer engineer from Cardona, Catalonia. Dani began his career as a native Android developer and soon joined a Barcelona-based Moodle Partner, where he met Juan Leyva (Director of Moodle’s Mobile Solutions team) and started working on the Moodle app (hybrid app). A year later, he joined Moodle HQ, where he has been part of the Mobile Solutions team for the past 10 years, first as a Developer and now as a Technical Architect.

Fun facts

  • Huge basketball fan, Dani played for 17 years (amateur level) and was also a coach for several seasons, but now he only watches (european) basketball from the couch.

  • Currently learning his 4th language (Japanese). Can you guess the other 3?

  • Four of his current colleagues at Moodle HQ previously worked with him at the Barcelona Moodle Partner.

Superpower

“My main expertise is in the Moodle app, but I also have some Moodle LMS knowledge. I can help with development questions, automated testing, adapting plugins to work in the app, process questions (e.g. Jira, PeerReview, mdk), etc.”

Welcome Dani to our mentors team and see you soon.
