Today it is my pleasure to introduce Hugo who will be joining us as mentor during the MoodleMoot DACH DevCamp in order to assist and support our dev teams the help them to "produce working code".
Hugo Ribeiro
After 20 years working at the University of Porto as a Learning Technologist, where he supported teachers in using Moodle for nearly everything, Hugo joined Moodle HQ in the summer of 2025.
A long-time Moodle advocate and community contributor, he has delivered training, managed platforms, and more recently began developing Moodle plugins. As Developer Educator, he’s excited to help new Moodle developers grow their skills and feel empowered to contribute to the Moodle ecosystem.
Fun Fact
Every Summer Hugo goes to his parents' garage and spends some time making 21L of beer. It's not much, and he is taking a (huge) shortcut - it's kind of a Sunquick thing for beer - but he enjoys the process (and the end result).
