Today it is my pleasure to introduce Rosa who will be joining us as mentor during the MoodleMoot DACH DevCamp in order to assist and support our dev teams the help them to "produce working code".
Rosa Vieira de Almeida
Rosa is a UX Content Designer working on Moodle Marketplace, where she helps turn complex product, technical and policy decisions into clear user journeys, interface content and documentation structures.
Before moving into UX, Rosa completed a PhD in Chinese literature and built up teaching and research experience in literature, language and area studies. She is a fan of humans and clear, human-centred systems, and has an ongoing interest in creating and improving services that help people find their way through complex or unfamiliar information.

Rosa is based in Lisbon and has a cat, Sal, who provides frequent, unsolicited feedback during remote meetings.

She especially enjoys digging into information architecture, untangling knotty product logic, being proved wrong by users, and learning from developers and accessibility specialists about how to build better things.

She can support teams by helping make complex technical work clearer for the people who need to use it.
- mapping product logic, user journeys and edge cases before they become confusing interface or documentation problems
- shaping provider-facing or customer-facing experiences so they are easier to understand and use
- reviewing flows, UI patterns and documentation for clarity, consistency, accessibility and internationalisation
- improving labels, form questions, helper text, error messages and confirmation messages
