I have worked further on the idea to allow the settings for the quiz to be pulled from a template quiz (a quiz with the tag template) and am just looking at having it so that the template quiz can include some optional standard questions that are included in every quiz instance that is created customized for per student submission.
I also have a name for the project ... local_jomot (pronounced with a hard or soft t for your satisfaction).... The name was inspired by Adam Jenkins from Adam Jenkins from Shizuoka University meaning "Just one more thing", the catch phrase of TV Detective Columbo.
