Hi Phillip - this plugin is relevant to your presentation and includes alerting when not only Moodle core is outdated, but also plugins. It gives a one-stop location within Moodle for this information as well as many other security-related aspects of Moodle: https://github.com/davidpesce/moodle-local_sentinel

Disclaimer: It does have a pay-for service that is optional. The only thing the service provides is remote monitoring. That said, we built in the ability for users to create and connect their own dashboards. So our service is completely optional.

Thank you for that additional info. We already had a chat about it. It is on my list to have an eye on.
