Live demo of new plugin "analysis of questions"

Hello

LernLink is currently developing a new plugin called "analysis of questions" for us.

It works on the quiz level where it adds a new page in the "results tab". On this page data on the questions used in the quiz are aggregated (new data as well as data from the "statistics" page). It provides a scatter plot (discrimination index vs. facility index) of the used questions. Below an overview of the questions used in the quiz with count and frequency values of the answer options is offered. Also there is an option to export these values as well as a second report on the level of the students` answers.

The aim of the plugin is to enable users to evaluate their questions and answer options more easily, as well as offer them the raw data to do an in-depth analysis in R or similar programs.

If people are interested, I could do a live demonstration of the plugin with a follow up discussion.

Since I leave Friday afternoon a slot on Thursday or Friday morning would be needed.

Best

Alex

Thank you very much, Alexander, for your announcement!

I would be very interested in this, but unfortunately I cannot attend BarCamp 2025. Please let me know if you will be showing this on another channel, e.g., a webinar. A recording of your demo at BarCamp would also be very helpful, of course.

Best regards, Frank

Not able to speak for Alexander of course but an advice to the general public that has not changed to Moodle ≥ 5.0 not to set the expectations too high.
A newly developed plugin for a Moodle 5.0 using institution will probably not support Moodle 4.5 and lower.
You'll have to be moved to Moodle 5.0 to use it first.
(Am I right, lern.link, Alex?)

I found updating my plugins to work with Moodle 5 was fairly straightforward. Due to a change in API, I have had to create two versions of my QBank Bulk Tagging plugins as the question bank has changed quite a bit, and after the latest version I will only support Moodle 5 onwards.
