Workflow improvements for Moodle as an assessment system

We are exploring and starting to use Moodle as an e-assessment system. In the course of this we wan't to streamline the experience for all involved persons.

1.We for example have persons that are responsible to prepare courses and quizzes until a certain deadline. They must confirm that the course is ready from their side. Afterwards they should not be able to further modify anything on their own. The goal is to develop a Moodle plugin that helps to coordinate this, instead of douzens of mails being written. And also keep in mind whats useful for other roles.

2. There are several appointments for the same assessments, sometimes in conjunction with additoinal overrides as extra time. We want to draft a plugin that gives an overview and more automatic connection between course groups and certain overrides (=assessment appointment settings).

Anyone who is interested in implementing (developers, designers, moodle coordinators) or further working on the concept (especially moodle coordinators) would be welcome.

We already drafted basic ideas (not code yet) which we also offer to show in the barcamp, but devcamp could provide perfect moment to draft some prototypes and gain insights.

par Tim Hunt,
This sounds interesting. To manage the Quiz production processes at the Open University (your Point 1), we created this Workflow plugin: https://moodle.org/plugins/block_workflow. You might find it interesting to look at that. And I would be happy to discuss it with you during the Moot. (The documentation is not brilliant.)
